Oliver Glasner summoned for immediate future talks by Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have summoned manager Oliver Glasner for immediate talks about his future, following the club’s 1-1 draw with Bosnian side Zrinjski Mostar in the Conference League, a competition they are expected to win.

The draw follows a series of recent disappointing results from the Eagles, leaving Palace chiefs with little or no patience left in them to hold on further.

According to transfer expert Ā Fabrizio Romano,Ā discussions are currently taking place over the Austrian’s immediate future.

In October 2025, during a private meeting with club chiefs — particularly co-owner and chairman Steve Parish — the 51-year-old manager formally announced his intention to step down.

The announcement of his departure came as captain Marc Guehi closed in on a move to Manchester City – he has still not been replaced. However, Glasner stressed that the decision is unrelated to the transfer activity.

Oliver Glasner is set to leave at the end of the season and has been linked to the permanent role at Manchester United in the summer.

The Eagles started the season so well, but their form has taken a downward spiral since late 2025 as their lean squad has struggled to cope with European football.

Glasner’s side, who were once on a joyful trajectory for a spot in the Champions League just a couple of months ago, are now at serious risk of being whisked into a relegation battle.

Despite the lack of form, Glasner has repeatedly criticised Steve Parish and other club chiefs for their lack of ambition in the transfer market. Although Palace made huge signings in January, it was too little too late.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio further adds that things could rather escalate in the meeting, and an early departure of Glanser could be on the cards, should the Palace board wield their axe earlier than first expected.

Glasner rises highest as the most successful coach in Palace history, but the supporters have now turned on him, and they were chanting for him to go against Mostar.

Palace have an Europa League second leg fixture against Bosnian side Mostar, which will take place at Selhurst Park next week. Glasner may no longer have a job by that point.
