AC Milan suffer Kyle Walker blow

There is currently no official timeline for Walker’s return

AC Milan and England full-back Kyle Walker is set for a period of recovery after undergoing surgery for a fractured elbow.

Walker, who has been a key cog for the Rossoneri since joining on loan from Manchester City in January, will now miss some time as Milan cope without his presence.

There is currently no official timeline for his return, but head coach Sergio Conceicao will hope to have the England international back before the season concludes.

Milan are in pursuit of a European spot and currently sit ninth in the Serie A standings, seven points adrift of the sixth-placed position that would secure qualification for the Europa Conference League.

Milan’s upcoming fixtures include a clash with Udinese on Friday night, followed by a home match against Atalanta next weekend.

If the team can secure six points from these games, their chances of securing European football next season will be significantly enhanced.

With any luck, Kyler Walker could return before the end of the season to help push Milan over the line in their European quest.
