Aduana FC confirm departure of 12 players ahead of 2025/26 season

Aduana Stars have won the Ghana Premier League twice in their history.

Aduana FC have officially announced the departure of 12 players from their squad as the club undertakes a major reshuffle ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The exits come as part of a comprehensive effort to restructure the team, with players leaving for various reasons, including contract expirations, terminations, and mutual agreements.

According to a statement from the club’s Communications Department, the following seven players have been released outright:


Emmanuel Partey
Zakaria Mumuni
Richard Mahatma
Justus Torsutsey
Gabriel Akwasi Mensah
Gideon Boateng
Gyawu Junior

In addition, the club has reached mutual agreements to terminate contracts with the following five players:

Kwadwo Amoako
Mediator Attakora
Tijani Cissé
Emmanuel Poku Peprah
Abdel Latif Bamba

While no specific reasons were provided for each player’s departure, Aduana FC emphasized that the decisions are aimed at preparing the squad for the challenges of the upcoming season.

Aduana finished 10th with 47 points in the just-ended Ghana Premier League season. The two-time Ghana Premier League winners will be hoping to compete for the title next season.

Meanwhile, Aduana Football Club have announced an agreement with Jegri Bekala Mining Limited as the club’s new headline sponsor. The mining company is expected to help the club financially to compete for the league and the MTN FA Cup.

The club is expected to announce new signings in the coming weeks as it looks to strengthen key positions and remain competitive in both the league and domestic competitions.
