He joins the club on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Bibiani Goldstars.

A statement on the club’s website stated,

Aduana FC is excited to announce the signing of dynamic left-back William Dankyi from Bibiani GoldStars SC! ✍️

He joins the Fire Boys on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for one more season.

Dankyi played a vital role in Bibiani Gold Stars’ historic 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title-winning campaign.

His experience, versatility, and attacking support from the left flank made him a standout performer throughout the season.

Last month, Dankyi was close to securing a move to Tanzanian side Tabora United.

However, the deal fell through at the final stages after both parties failed to reach an agreement on salary and contract length.

The former Hearts of Oak player’s addition is expected to provide a major boost to Aduana’s defence as they prepare for the upcoming season.

He is the ninth signing of the club following the acquisition of Godfred Boakye, Gregory Obeng Sekyere, Mezack Afriyie, Charles Kamara Gyamfi, Patrick Mensah, and Stephen Kwakye, Remember Adomako Boateng, and Riis Opoku Twumasi.

This is his fourth club in the Ghana Premier League after a stint with Liberty Professional, Hearts of Oak, Bibiani Goldstars, and King Faisal.
