Alejandro Garnacho casts doubt on Man United future

Alejandro Garnacho has cast doubt over his future at Manchester United, expressing frustration at his limited role in the club’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
Despite starting every knockout game in the competition, the Argentine winger was handed just 20 minutes in Wednesday’s 1-0 loss.
Garnacho’s remarks have added to a growing sense of uncertainty surrounding United, with several key figures hinting at possible departures.

His comments follow statements from manager Ruben Amorim, who said he would leave without compensation if the board or fans lost faith in him.
Garnacho said: “Obviously it’s hard for everyone. Our season was shit. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.
“Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”

Man United are open to selling Alejandro Garnacho if the Red Devils receive an offer that meets their valuation, believed to be in the region of £60–£70million.
United plan to retain manager Amorim ahead of next season. The Portuguese remains confident that he is the right person to lead the team’s turnaround.
He said: “I have nothing to show to the fans, so in this moment it is a little bit of faith. Let’s see.
“I am always open, if the board and fans feel I am not the right guy, I will go in the next day without any conversation about compensation, but I will not quit.
“I am really confident on my job. And as you see I will not change nothing in the way I do things.”
