Arsenal secure new deal for 19-year-old sensation Alexei Rojas

Arsenal have secured a new deal for their 19-year-old promising young goalkeeper Alexei Rojas at the Emirates.
Reports from AS Colombia indicate that Arsenal’s hierarchy has high ambitions for the Columbian starlet, seeing him as an important addition to the goal-keeping department for club long term.
The agreement serves as a motivation for the Columbian-English, with the club eager to give him opportunities at the senior level.
The report indicates, in principle, the teenage shot-stopper will be integrated as part of the first team during the 2025/26 season with an improved contract term.
Negotiations to extend the contract had been ongoing for weeks, but only the corresponding meetings with the player’s entourage (representative) were pending to discuss the details.

Even though David Raja remains the first-choice goalkeeper for the Arsenal, the Gunners have been exploring options for a strong backup goalkeeper.
Reports have it that goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana had reportedly pushed for the signing of Espanyol shot-stopper Joan Garcia.
The Spaniard has gained recognition for his performances in La Liga, making him a highly sought-after talent. Hence, the player accepting to play second-fiddle to Raja made the deal difficult to complete.
Even though AS Colombia reported that Rojas has already signed the new contract, committing his immediate future to Arsenal, the specific financial details remain undisclosed.
