Asante Kotoko sign former WAFA winger Inusah Adams

Inusah is capable of playing as both a left back and a left wing back.

Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of winger Inusah Adams on a three-year contract, marking their eleventh signing of the current transfer window. The 24-year-old finalized his move after successfully passing his medical.

Adams began his professional career with WAFA, where he made his Ghana Premier League debut at just 16. He later featured for Kotoku Royals in the top flight and spent two seasons in Portugal with SC Covilhã.

A pacey, intelligent, and tricky wide man, Adams is known for his close control, ability to beat his marker, and tactical versatility—capable of playing both as a winger and as a left-back. His addition brings depth and variety to Kotoko’s flanks ahead of a packed 2025/26 campaign.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Adams reflected on his career journey:

“To be honest, I know I haven’t hit the levels people expected of me when I started. That’s something I carry with me. But I also know what I’m capable of, and this move is a massive opportunity to relaunch my career. Kotoko is a big stage, and I plan to make the most of it. I’ve got more to show, and this is the right place to show it.”

His signing brings the club’s tally of new arrivals this window to eleven.
The following players have also joined the Porcupine Warriors: Johnson Oppong, Francis Acquah, Aziz Dari, Joseph Amoah, Zakariah Fusseni, Hubert Gyau, Seth Kwadwo, Lord Adabo, Shayibu Abubakar, and Philip Amoh.

The club is expected to announce three more signings before the team departs for South Africa to compete in the Toyota Cup, hosted by Kaizer Chiefs.

Head Coach Karim Zito, who recently guided the team to an FA Cup triumph, is determined to build on that success. His vision includes mounting a serious title challenge in the Ghana Premier League and making a meaningful impact in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Inusah Adams is expected to be part of the squad traveling to South Africa for the pre-season tournament.
