Ansu Fati could potentially be sold by Barcelona this summer
Barcelona set to offload talented winger Ansu Fati

Barcelona are set to offload several players in the summer to make room for new incomings, and talented winger Ansu Fati has emerged as one of the players reportedly to be cut loose.
The Catalans are hoping to sign one or two players this summer, but are likely to face challenges if outgoings are not prioritised.
The club’s well-documented financial crises force them to raise funds before they can enter the market to make additions to their squad, and one player who can be used to make money has already been identified by the club’s sporting department.

Barcelona’s last match of the season against Villarreal on Sunday could be the last time several players play in front of the home crowd in Blaugrana colours, as they continue to wait for their new home at the Camp Nou to be completed.
This scenario applies to Ansu Fati, whose days in the Catalan capital are said to be numbered, having endured limited playing time under both Xavi Hernandez and new German manager Hansi Flick.
Per a report by Sport, the Spanish giants have already made their final decision to sell Fati this summer.

Despite staging a claim by playing himself back into Hansi Flick’s plans in recent weeks, the 22-year-old attacker will not continue at the club beyond the end of this season.
Fati’s high wages do not make things easier for him and the club, especially for someone who has played just 298 minutes across different competitions like La Liga, UEFA Champions League, and Copa del Rey in the 2024/25 season.

Despite all efforts by Barcelona to get rid of him for a while – with the recent attempt in January, Fati has stood resolute and denied all approaches that came his way – much to the frustration of club officials.
However, he has reportedly changed his stance, which makes a summer exit all the more inevitable.
Barcelona are believed to be prepared to accept a reduced fee in order to get Fati off the books. As mentioned, the problem is his salary, so if that can be solved, it could make it more possible for a signing or two to be made this summer.
In planning for life after Fati, the La Liga winners have already identified England international Marcus Rashford as his potential replacement, with Liverpool’s Luiz Diaz said to be ahead of Rashford in the pecking order, as the winger is the favoured option of the sporting director, Deco.
