According to a report from both the Bundesliga English News and The Athletic, the 29-year-old has been in talks with the Bundesliga champions over a three-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year.

The club is reportedly willing to offer Tah a higher salary than they did last summer, along with a long-term agreement that underscores their commitment to bringing him into the squad.

The negotiations demonstrate Bayern’s determination to finalise the transfer before the transfer window closes, aiming to bolster their defence with an experienced and reliable player.

While no official confirmation has been made, the report suggests that Tah is inclined towards the move, especially given the promising terms on the table.

The move would also allow Tah to continue playing at a top European club, competing in the Bundesliga and possibly in Champions League fixtures.

The competition for Tah’s signature appears to be limited, with Real Madrid emerging as the only serious rival. Madrid is expected to announce Bayer Leverkusen’s current manager, Xabi Alonso, as their new head coach soon.

This potential coaching change at Madrid could influence Tah’s decision, either to stay in Germany or to make the leap to La Liga.
