Bayern Munich is currently leading the Bundesliga table
Bayern Munich coach Kompany promises big effort for league title

Prior to their journey to Augsburg, Vincent Kompany promised that Bayern Munich will not allow injuries to stop them from going “full throttle” in their attempt to win the Bundesliga again.
Bayern Munich leads defending champions Bayer Leverkusen by six points with 65 points after 27 games.
However, the Bavarians have only won one of their previous three Bundesliga games, having drawn at Union Berlin and lost to lowly Bochum before narrowly defeating St Pauli 3-2 last week.

Along with fellow defender Hiroki Ito suffering a metatarsal injury last week, they are also expected to miss the remainder of the season without left-back Alphonso Davies and center-back Dayot Upamecano.
Kompany has supported his team to persevere in their final seven games in spite of such defeats.
“We have a few options for the full-back position. You can also get creative. The important thing is that we have confidence and it doesn’t change the fact that we have to go full throttle. We want to win,” Kompany said of Bayern Munich’s injury problems.
“Sacha is a player who loves playing on the right. He’s fit and definitely an option, and he’ll get his minutes in the coming weeks,” he said.
“He was in a good position before his injury and hopefully he’ll show his qualities again. We have six players who have regularly played at full-back. It’s important that they stay fit.”
Since 2017, when they had 66 points after 27 games, Bayern Munich has never accumulated as many points at this time in a season.
Bayern Munich hosts Serie A leaders Inter in the opening leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match on Tuesday following the trip to Augsburg.
