Musiala sustained a hamstring tear against Augsburg
Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala injury latest with return timeline set

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala will be sidelined for the next eight weeks after suffering a hamstring injury on Friday evening, according to Sky Germany’s Kerry Hau.
Musiala had just scored the equaliser in Bayern’s 3-1 victory over Augsburg when he was substituted in the 54th minute with what appeared to be a pulled hamstring.
Further medical assessments have revealed that he has sustained a hamstring tear, which will keep him out for the remainder of the Bundesliga season.

The 22-year-old is hopeful of making a return in time for the Champions League final, should Bayern progress to the final, as well as the Nations League finals in June.
“FC Bayern will be without Jamal Musiala for the time being,” a club statement read.
“Following a scan by the German record champions’ medical team, it’s been confirmed the 22-year-old attacker suffered a muscle tear in his left hamstring during the 3-1 win at FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Friday night.”
This marks the fourth major injury to a key Bayern player in recent weeks.

Jamal Musiala will join Alphonso Davies (torn ligament), Dayot Upamecano (knee injury), and Hiroki Ito (foot injury) on the sidelines for the remainder of the campaign.

With these setbacks, Bayern appear to be limping towards the Bundesliga title, relying on the solid foundation they built earlier in the season.
However, tough upcoming fixtures against Borussia Dortmund, Mainz, RB Leipzig, and Borussia Mönchengladbach could prove challenging, especially considering Bayern’s struggles against Augsburg.
