Ghana touched down in Morocco on Saturday to begin preparations for the Madagascar tie
Black Stars hold recovery training ahead of 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar

The Black Stars held a recovery training session in Morocco on Sunday as they prepare to face Madagascar in their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Ghana touched down in Morocco on Saturday afternoon to begin preparations for the matchday six fixture against Madagascar, following their 5-0 victory over Chad on Friday.
That win propelled coach Otto Addo’s side to the top of the group table, and they will be aiming to maintain their position with a win over Madagascar.

Ahead of the game, coach Addo expressed frustration over the scheduling of matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Madagascar had a more favourable schedule, having played their last match – a 4-1 victory over the Central African Republic – two days prior to Ghana’s game.
“It’s worrying because also we need to travel. Madagascar are already in Morocco so for them it is much easier,” Coach Addo said.
“I don’t know who is doing the schedule. There is nothing we can do. We have to accept it.
“It will be very tough. They [Madagascar] have a really good team, good victory against CAR so it will be very tough. [Our] Preparations starts now. It is good we won and we can focus on Madagascar.”
