Borussia Dortmund have identified Wolves striker Fabio Silva as potential backup for Serhou Guirassy
Borussia Dortmund plot surprise move for Wolves loanee Fabio Silva

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly plotting a surprise move for Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Fabio Silva in a bid to improve their squad this summer.
Dortmund, who narrowly qualified for next season’s Champions League, are in the hunt for a back-up goal scorer, and have identified Wolves’ Portuguese forward as a perfect candidate.
Silva played the entire season on loan for Spanish side Las Palmas and impressed the German giants, who see him as a model backup to provide support for main striker Serhou Guirassy.

According to German outlet Bild, Die Borussen are seeking a backup to their talisman Guirassy and have identified the Portuguese forward as the ideal option.
The 22-year-old was signed from Porto for €40 million, but failed to explode in the Premier League as he had expected at Molineux.
He was loaned out to Spanish club Las Palmas on a season-long deal, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, and the BVB are now interested in pursuing him as a backup for Guirassy, who scored 34 goals in all competitions in the just-ended campaign.
Silva’s transfer fee of €40m was a club-record deal when he was signed by Wolves in the summer of the 2020/21 season.
Only Matheus Cunha (€50m) and Nunes (€47.4m) have commanded higher transfer fees since Silva’s arrival.

Silva is expected back with Wolves when his loan spell with Las Palmas ends in June.
With Cunha expected to sign for Manchester United, it remains to be seen whether Wolves will hold on to Silva or sell him if a convincing offer arrives.
Niko Kovac and Dortmund are looking to revamp key areas, particularly in attack and defence, as they aim to improve on their fourth-place finish in the Bundesliga standings next term.
