Bournemouth set to demand record fee for Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo

Semenyo has caught the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur

Bournemouth are reportedly prepared to demand a club-record fee to sell Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo this summer.

Under the guidance of Andoni Iraola, the Cherries have made a strong impression this season and are bracing for a busy summer transfer window.

Several of their key players could attract interest from Premier League giants.

Centre-back Dean Huijsen, who has a £50m release clause in his contract, is being pursued by both Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Left-back Milos Kerkez is also a top target for Liverpool and hinted at a potential move away from the club in a recent interview.

Meanwhile, further forward, Semenyo has caught the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur after registering nine goals and six assists across all competitions.

According to The Athletic, Semenyo’s contract does not include a release clause, meaning his price tag will be determined by Bournemouth.

While no specific fee has been revealed, the Cherries are expected to demand that Semenyo becomes their most expensive sale in history if they part ways with the 25-year-old.

Bournemouth’s current record transfer fee stands at £65m, following the sale of striker Dominic Solanke to Tottenham last summer. As such, any potential suitors would need to surpass that figure in their pursuit of Semenyo.

The future of Antoine Semenyo may be closely linked to that of Huijsen and Kerkez, as Bournemouth are unlikely to allow all three key players to leave.

Of the trio, Huijsen appears the most likely to depart, given his release clause, which leaves Bournemouth with limited control over his future. Should Kerkez leave, Bournemouth would make a concerted effort to prevent Semenyo from following suit.
