Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed the Red Devils ‘need to win’ more games to find the much-needed consistency across all competitions moving forward.
Fernandes netted a hattrick on Thursday night in United’s 4-1 win over Real Sociedad in their UEFA Europa League last 16 clash. The Red Devils can now fix their gaze on the last eight of the competition, but their skipper says they need to win more games in order to return the club where it really needs to be.
Speaking to the media after the game, Bruno said: “This club is all about winning. We need to win games.”
“We have a long way to go but we are confident, with the right mentality, we can win games”, he added.
United’s crucial win over Imanol Aguacil’s side means they face Olympique Lyonnais next in the Europa League.
That fixture is sure to be a tougher test, yet should they edge the French side and ultimately win the title, a UEFA Champions League slot would be on the cards next season as Ruben Amorim looks to return the historic side to the top.
