Bryan Mbuemo in the transfer news again

Brentford boss Thomas Frank seems to have given the green light for the potential departure of in-form forward Bryan Mbeumo, but on condition.

Thomas Frank has revealed that Bryan Mbeumo can leave for “the right price,” but he is going to be “expensive” amid links with Arsenal and other Premier League clubs.

Mbeumo is reportedly available for ‘the right price’ as Thomas Frank admits Brentford could lose star forward amid Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tottenham interest.

The 25-year-old has been one of Brentford’s brightest performers in the current season, attracting huge interest from Premier League winners Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, and other suitors.

Frank, however, states that he would have preferred to keep the Cameroonian, who is “very happy” at the Gtech Community Stadium, but admits they are a “selling club”.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m the head coach, I want my best players to stay forever.

“I know that Bryan is very happy being here at Brentford, he’s thriving, doing well and playing fantastic.

“What happens in the future? I don’t know. I’ve said many times: we are a selling club. But at the same time we have to reinforce that there are 10 clubs in the world who aren’t selling clubs.

“So, of course, if the right price – and that’s going to be expensive – is coming, then I’m sure the club will be open for it.

“But I’m very happy he’s here, and I’m convinced that Bryan will still be happy playing football here.”

The versatile forward has been in sensational form for the Bees, scoring 18 goals and providing six assists in 33 Premier League games this season.

Of course, he is an exciting player, and, it will come as no surprise to see him wearing the shirt of a big team in the Premier League.

Mbeumo has just over a year left on his current contract, with an option to extend that by 12 months.

Despite this, it seems unlikely Brentford will be able to keep him beyond the summer.
