CAS dismisses King Faisal’s request against Ghana FA

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) have dismissed a request by division one side King Faisal FC

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed a request by Division One side King Faisal FC for a stay of execution in their ongoing case against the Ghana Football Association(GFA).

According to a ruling delivered on 1st October 2025 by Mrs. Corinne Schmidhauser, President of the CAS Appeals Arbitration Division, the application filed by King Faisal on 1st September 2025 was denied.

The club had sought to halt the execution of a decision taken by the GFA while their appeal was being heard.

CAS, however, stated that the costs related to this interim order will be determined in the final award or in any other final disposition of the arbitration.

The decision represents a major setback for King Faisal, who are currently engaged in a legal tussle with the Ghana FA over disciplinary and administrative issues.

With their request rejected, the club must now wait for the final ruling of the case, which will ultimately determine their fate.

The ruling, delivered in Lausanne, Switzerland, reaffirms the GFA’s position in the dispute, at least for the time being, while King Faisal continues to pursue their claims through the arbitration process.

King Faisal also started their Division One campaign with a goalless draw with Skyy FC at the Ejisu Okese Park last Saturday.
