Lionel Messi Sets Sights on Breaking More Records
Meanwhile, Messi continues to break records.
The legendary forward is just one goal or assist away from surpassing Gonzalo Higuain as Inter Miami’s all-time leader in goal contributions during the MLS regular season.

Messi has accumulated 23 goals and 20 assists in 28 games for the Herons, and with one more contribution, he will move ahead of his former teammate, who required 67 games to reach the same tally.
As Maresca looks to secure a top-four finish and steer Chelsea back into the upper echelons of European football, Messi has his own historic moment in sight.
He could make history on Sunday night when Inter Miami faces Toronto, aiming to further cement his legacy.
