Chelsea are reportedly looking to sell Malo Gusto to Juventus at €50 million

Malo Gusto has been linked with a move to juventus

Chelsea are reportedly looking to offload French defender Malo Gusto amid interest from Italian giants Juventus in the near future, according to a report from Fichajes.

The report adds that the Blues are poised to reduce the club’s wage bill, and Serie A outfit Juventus are preparing an offer of €50 million to sign him from the Premier League club.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea will part ways with the French international for that amount of money, which could prove to be a smart move for the London club.

Since their last title in 2019/20, shortly after Maurizio Sarri’s departure, the club has cycled through four permanent managers: Andrea Pirlo, Max Allegri, Motta, and Tudor, who was sacked on Monday.

The right-back has not been a regular starter for Chelsea, and he could look to move on for regular playing time as the 2026 World Cup looms.

There is no doubt he possesses the technical skills for Italian football and could thrive at Juventus; a move could prove to be ideal for all involved.

Gusto’s inconsistency with the English club makes him quite a dispensable lad if there is no improvement in his game. It would make sense for Chelsea to sell him and invest the proceeds into the playing squad.

Although Enzo Maresca’s side proved all doubters wrong by winning the Europa Conference League and the new-format FIFA Club World Cup, even with an improved team, they are nowhere near the level required to win the Premier League or the Champions League.

However, they need established stars along with the pool of young talent they have at the club to reach the level expected of them, looking at the amount of cash splashed under the new ownership in the transfer market.

Selling the young defender could certainly help them improve the team in the future. It remains to be seen whether all parties can agree on a deal in the coming months.
