Chelsea have received a significant boost as Nicolas Jackson has returned to training and is expected to be back in action soon.

The striker has not featured for the club since their 2-1 Premier League victory over West Ham at the beginning of February due to a hamstring injury.

However, Jackson is now back on the training pitch and is expected to make his return following the international break.

The Senegal international has recorded 26 goals and 11 assists in 68 appearances for the Blues since his £30.9million arrival in 2023.

This news comes as a relief to head coach Enzo Maresca, whose attacking options have been severely impacted by injuries, leaving the team struggling for goals. Marc Guiu, Cole Palmer, and Noni Madueke have also been sidelined.

In addition, Maresca has had to manage the suspension of Mykhailo Mudryk, who was banned after a positive drug test, while Jadon Sancho has found it difficult to regain his form, failing to score for Chelsea since December.

Despite a challenging start to 2025, Chelsea remain in fourth place in the Premier League and have reached the quarter-finals of the Conference League.

Jackson has been a key contributor to the team’s attack this season, with nine goals and five assists in the Premier League.
