Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo was stopped by police after it was discovered that he was driving his high-performance Audi RSQ8 without a valid UK driving licence.

Officers pulled over Caicedo as he was heading home along Fairmile Lane, where he lives with his partner, Paola Salazar.

Authorities are now conducting further investigations to determine whether Caicedo was also driving without proper insurance coverage at the time of the stop.
If these checks confirm both violations, the Chelsea midfielder could face a court summons and a range of penalties, including the possibility of a driving ban.
Surrey Police confirmed the incident in a statement to The Sun, saying: “A man in his 20s from Cobham was stopped by officers on Fairmile Lane in Cobham on Friday 4 April and found to be driving without a licence.
“The vehicle was seized, and our enquiries are ongoing.”

Under UK law, foreign nationals holding international driving permits are allowed to drive on British roads for up to 12 months.
After this period, they must apply for a provisional UK licence and pass the full practical driving test to continue driving legally.

Law firm JMW said: “If you have been charged with driving without a licence, you could face serious punishment.
“Potential penalties for this type of offence include a fine, penalty points and a driving ban.
“Driving without a licence is a serious motoring offence in the eyes of the law. This means it can carry significant penalties that may affect your ability to drive in the future.”
Moises Caicedo, meanwhile, travelled to Poland with the Chelsea squad ahead of their UEFA Conference League match against Legia Warsaw on Thursday.
