Como’s President Mirwan Suwarso has firmly debunked reports suggesting that their head coach, Cesc Fabregas, is being considered by Inter Milan as a replacement Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi recently joined Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, fueling speculation about his successor at Inter Milan.
Suwarso explained that Como has already communicated its stance directly to Inter Milan’s president, emphasizing their refusal to entertain any transfer discussions involving Fabregas.
He noted that Inter’s leadership acknowledged Como’s position with courtesy and clarity, reflecting the mutual respect between the two clubs.
“We have communicated our refusal directly to the president of Inter, who has recognised it with the courtesy and clarity that is expected among clubs that have mutual respect”, Mirwan Suwarso said.
The Como president also emphasized the unlikelihood of Inter Milan’s persistent interest, dismissing it as “pure fantasy.”
He pointed out that hardly anyone would continue to push such a narrative after receiving a clear and unequivocal response from Como.
Suwarso highlighted that a club of Inter’s stature would not insist on a move that has been swiftly and decisively rejected.
The reports linking Fabregas to Inter Milan had gained traction in recent days, sparking debate among fans and media.
However, Suwarso’s statement aims to put an end to any speculation, reaffirming that Fabregas remains committed to Como and its plans for the upcoming season.
