Dreams FC confirm Winfred Dormon as new head coach

Dorman will head the new technical department of the club

Dreams FC has officially announced the appointment of Winfred Dormon as the new head coach for the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

Dormon has served as the interim coach since Abdul Karim Zito left to join Asante Kotoko, where he succeeded Prosper Narteh Ogum during the second half of last season.

The club, after his impressive results, has decided to give him the job on a permanent basis.

A statement on the club’s website stated,

“We are delighted to announce Winfred Dormon as our new Head Coach ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

Dormon, who successfully led the team as interim coach during the final stages of the 2024/2025 campaign, now takes full charge to guide the Still Believe lads into a new era.

The former footballer has steadily risen through the ranks at Dreams FC from his days as head of our youth team, through to being a long-standing assistant coach of the first team, and now taking the reins.

He will be leading a carefully selected technical team tasked with delivering exciting, entertaining, and purposeful football in the upcoming season and beyond.”

Dormon first joined Dreams F.C. in June 2019, as substantive head coach, having previously served as assistant to Finnish coach Juha Pasoja.

He also served as assistant to three other coaches: Karim Zito, Vladislav Viric, and Ignatius Osei-Fosu.

He led the club to finish 6th in the 2024/25 campaign, the highest in the history of the club.

Winfred Dorman will begin his tenure when the club resumes preseason in early next month.
