Dreams FC stun Hearts of Oak with Abdul Razak Salifu’s winner

Hearts of Oak endured their fifth defeat of the season in the league

Dreams FC secured a surprise 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday night.

The match’s decisive moment came just two minutes in when Abdul Razak Salifu rose highest to meet a cross, sending a looping header beyond goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and into the net.

Asare made a desperate attempt to save the effort but stumbled in the process, unable to keep the ball out.

Despite their efforts, Hearts struggled with cohesion, limiting their ability to sustain attacking spells and create clear-cut chances.

The defeat marks Hearts’ fifth loss in the league this season and their sixth in all competitions.

They now sit two points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko, who played out a 1-1 draw against Samartex earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Dreams FC have climbed to 11th place with 24 points, moving six points clear of the relegation zone.
