Eberechi Eze set for Arsenal medical

Eberechi Eze is expected to undergo a medical at Arsenal as early as Friday after the Gunners agreed a £67.5m deal with Crystal Palace for the forward, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The agreement will see Arsenal pay a guaranteed £60m, with a further £7.5m in add-ons.
Eze had a £68m release clause, which expired last Friday. Personal terms are close to being finalised.

The 26-year-old was left out of Palace’s UEFA Conference League clash on Thursday, despite hoping for the chance to bid farewell to the supporters.
Arsenal reignited their pursuit of Eze on Wednesday, with Kai Havertz’s injury and the likelihood of further player sales before the end of the transfer window key factors behind the renewed move.

Speaking to Channel 5 following the Eagles’ first European win, Palace manager Oliver Glasner:Â “Ebs [Eze] will not play for us anymore, so it doesn’t make sense to talk about him. It’s gone.
“We are wishing him all the best for his new club but for us it’s about bringing more players in, however they will not be allowed to play in the second-leg.”
Glasner added: “”We knew that more or less this would happen, so we have already been looking for the right replacements for weeks. We hope to get it done in 10 days time, with more pressure now.
“I will be involved, but it is my job to prepare the team for Nottingham Forest. We are unbeaten this season and this is how we want to continue.”
