Fernandez has become a crucial player for Chelsea this season
Enzo Fernandez reportedly agrees verbal terms with Real Madrid

Enzo Fernandez has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid, though Chelsea’s position on a potential transfer remains firm.
Journalist Renzo Pantich claims the 24-year-old Argentine midfielder is set to become a Madrid player.
However, according to BBC Sport via Sports Illustrated, there is no clear indication that the Blues are willing to sell Fernandez.

If they were to consider an offer, it would likely exceed the £106.8million they paid to Benfica in 2023.
Fernandez has become a crucial player for Chelsea this season, playing a significant role in their run to the Conference League final and their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Losing him would be a major blow for the Blues. That said, should an exit occur, it would almost certainly come with a monumental transfer fee.
The former Benfica star, who has contributed 20 goals and assists this season, appeared to express satisfaction with his situation at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.

He said: “I’m so happy with my numbers. Being a box-to-box midfielder, it’s a really good number of goals and assists.
“It was difficult in the beginning, getting to know (head coach) Enzo [Maresca] and the way he wanted to play, but now I totally understand him and what he wants from me.”
Before the transfer window opens and fans eagerly await news of whether Madrid will make a bid for Fernandez, Chelsea face Nottingham Forest in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday.
