Evans Adotey named Basake Holy Stars head coach

Basake Holy Stars have confirmed the appointment of former Medeama SC coach Augustine Evans Adotey as their new head coach.
Adotey has penned a three-year deal with the Ayinase based club following a successful negotiations.
The Ainyinase-based side has been without a substantive coach since Abdulai Gazale stepped down in June to take up the assistant coach role at giants Hearts of Oak.

Adotey, who most recently served as the technical director of Medeama, will now take charge of Holy Stars ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The veteran trainer guided the Yellow and Mauves to their maiden CAF Confederation Cup group stage appearance in 2016, underlining his pedigree on the local scene.
The 60-year-old tactician, who has also served as an assistant with Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, brings decades of experience in both youth and senior football.
Basake Holy Stars, who secured historic promotion to the top flight last season, are restructuring their technical team as they aim to make an impact and consolidate their Premier League status when the campaign kicks off this weekend.
