FC Copenhagen sign Medeama youngster David Boison

Danish top-tier side FC Copenhagen have completed the loan signing of Medeama SC winger David Boison Frimpong ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 18-year-old Ghanaian joins on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy, after impressing during a recent trial spell with the club.

A statement on the club’s official website read:
“FC Copenhagen’s Talent Department has secured the services of 18-year-old Ghanaian winger David Boison Frimpong from Medeama SC for the 2025/26 season. The loan agreement includes a purchase option.”

Mikkel Køhler, Head of Scouting & Recruitment at FCK Talent, praised the teenager’s potential:
“David is a very exciting left-footed winger who has already featured in several first-team games for Medeama SC and also gained experience in the CAF Champions League. He’s an international talent we’re thrilled to have join our U19 setup, which resumed training on Monday. The loan agreement allows both parties to assess the fit moving forward.”
Boison is expected to initially feature for the club’s Development side, with the possibility of earning a first-team promotion based on performance.
He made 18 appearances for Medeama during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, playing a key role in their domestic campaign.
