Flamengo eye summer signing of Jorginho as free agent

Brazilian side Flamengo are reportedly eyeing a summer transfer move for Arsenal midfielder Jorginho Frello as his contract expires this June.
Jorginho joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the winter transfer window of 2023, but was not a regular fixture for the Gunners across all competitions.
This season, the Italian has featured in 25 matches across all competitions mostly as a substitute for Arsenal, who now find themselves in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 16 years.

Now, Sky Italy football journalist Fabrizio reveals that Flamengo are closing in on the midfielder who is expected the depart the club this summer as a free agent.
Reports also indicate that a possible move to Saudi Arabia is off the cards as there are no negotiations between the player and any of the clubs from Arabia.
Since joining the club two years ago, Jorginho is yet to win a trophy with the Gunners, yet could secure his second Champions League title in four seasons as a player should Arsenal go all the way to win it in Munich next month.
