The 25-year-old lost his spot to Guinean international Mohammed Camara and decided not to extend his contract with the Porcupine Warriors.
Asare arrived at Asante Kotoko on a free transfer in 2022 after ending his long stay at Premier League side Accra Lions, having helped them secure qualification to the top-flight league in 2021.

He struggled for playing time in the just-ended season making only 15 Premier League appearances for Asante Kotoko, keeping seven clean and conceding 12 goals in the process.
Asare was handed his first-ever call-up to the senior national team of Ghana last year, but he is yet to make a debut for the Black Stars. He has been snubbed by the Black Stars technical team following his lack of playing time at the club level.
He will be hoping to get regular playing time at his new club to regain his place in the National team.
Asare won the Ghana Premier League during his spell with Asante Kotoko.
