The Black Stars have just three days to prepare for Madagascar tie on Monday
Ghana coach Otto Addo frustrated by tight schedule in 2026 World Cup qualifiers

Ghana head coach Otto Addo has expressed frustration over the scheduling of matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars cruised to a dominant 5-0 victory over Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium but now face a quick turnaround, with just three days to prepare for their next fixture against Madagascar.
In contrast, Madagascar enjoyed a more favourable schedule, having played their last match – a 4-1 win over the Central African Republic – two days earlier than Ghana.

“It’s worrying because also we need to travel. Madagascar are already in Morocco so for them it is much easier,” Addo said after the game
“I don’t know who is doing the schedule. There is nothing we can do. We have to accept it.
“It will be very tough. They [Madagascar] have a really good team, good victory against CAR so it will be very tough. [Our] Preparations starts now. It is good we won and we can focus on Madagascar.”

A victory against Madagascar on Monday would further strengthen their position and move them closer to securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup.

Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, setting the tone for what would be a one-sided affair.

Ghana’s relentless pressure paid off when Iñaki Williams doubled the lead in the 31st minute, and Jordan Ayew further extended their advantage with a penalty in the 36th minute.
In the second half, Ghana maintained their dominance. Mohammed Salisu added a fourth goal in the 56th minute, before Ernest Nuamah sealed the win with a strike in the 68th minute, capping off an impressive display by the team.
