Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the World Cup next year.
Ghana edge Comoros to book World Cup spot

Ghana have sealed qualification for their fifth FIFA World Cup following a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
A second-half strike from Mohammed Kudus secured a hard-fought win for Ghana over Comoros.
Head coach Otto Addo made two changes to the team that thrashed Central African Republic four days earlier, handing starts to Jonas Adjetey and Ebenezer Annan in place of Fatawu Issahaku and Gideon Mensah. The Black Stars lined up in a 5-3-2 system.

Ghana started brightly, controlling possession and dictating play, but struggled to create clear-cut chances against a compact Comoros defense. The midfield trio of Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, and Jordan Ayew combined well but couldn’t find the breakthrough.
Antoine Semenyo came close in the 34th minute but saw his effort saved by the Comoros goalkeeper. Moments later, Jordan Ayew beat two defenders and set up Kudus, who narrowly missed connecting with the pass.
Despite their dominance, the Black Stars were unable to break the deadlock before halftime.
After the restart, Ghana’s pressure finally paid off. Just two minutes into the second half, a cross from Mohammed Salisu found Thomas Partey, who squared the ball for Kudus Mohammed to tap into an empty net in the 47th minute.
The goal gave Ghana confidence as they continued to control proceedings, though further chances were limited. Kudus came close again in the 74th minute, but his effort was blocked by the defense.
Coach Otto Addo introduced Kwadwo Peprah, Caleb Yirenkyi, and Joseph Paintsil for Alidu Seidu, Kwesi Sibo, and Kudus Mohammed in search of a second goal.
Later, Jordan Ayew and Semenyo made way for Brandon Thomas-Asante and Christopher Baah Bonsu.
Despite their continued dominance, Ghana failed to add to their tally as the referee’s final whistle confirmed a narrow but crucial win.
