The Black Stars have been drawn into a tricky Group L for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will compete against England, Croatia and Panama.

England enter the tournament as one of the favourites after a flawless qualifying campaign, winning every match without conceding a goal. Their balance in defence and attack makes them the team to beat in the group.

Croatia, renowned for their midfield quality and consistent deep runs in recent international competitions, present another tough hurdle for Ghana.

Panama, making their second World Cup appearance, may be underdogs but have shown steady improvement and cannot be discounted.

Ghana will open their campaign against Panama before facing England in their second match. The Black Stars will then complete the group stage against Croatia.

Remarkably, Ghana have faced a former World Cup champion in each of their previous four appearances and will do so again, this time against 1966 winners England.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted across Mexico, the United States and Canada, kicking off on June 11 and ending on July 19.
