Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann expressed excitement ahead of the fixture, highlighting the challenge posed by the Black Stars.

“We are very much looking forward to the clash with Otto’s team. Their strong transition play will give us a taste of what to expect in our World Cup group match against Ivory Coast,” Nagelsmann said.

Otto Addo also welcomed the opportunity to test his side against one of world football’s heavyweights.

“This is an amazing opportunity for us to measure ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. Germany are a very good side, and we can’t wait to face them in Stuttgart,” Addo noted.

Ghana qualified convincingly for the 2026 World Cup as group winners and have been drawn into Group L, where they will face England, Croatia, and Panama. The four-time African champions have met Germany on three previous occasions.

Their first meeting came in a friendly match in Bochum in 1993, which Germany won 6–1. The two sides later clashed twice at FIFA World Cups. Germany secured a 1–0 victory in the group stage at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, while their most recent meeting at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil ended in a thrilling 2–2 draw.

The friendly match is scheduled for an 8:45 pm kickoff on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart.
