Ghana are joint-top of the 2026 World Cup qualification group alongside Comoros after four matches played so far
Ghana ‘urgently’ need victories to qualify for 2026 World Cup – Otto Addo

Ghana head coach Otto Addo says that the support of the Ga Chiefs is vital for securing the “urgent” victories needed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars currently sit joint-top of their qualification group alongside Comoros, with both teams having accumulated nine points after four games played so far.
Ahead of the resumption of the qualifiers next week, Addo visited King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, to seek his blessings for the Black Stars’ upcoming fixtures.
Ghana will face Chad on Friday, March 21, at the Accra Sports Stadium, before travelling to Morocco to play Madagascar three days later.
“Ghana urgently needs victories to qualify for the [2026] World Cup,” he said.
“We need the support of all Ghanaians, especially the Ga Chiefs, to help us in this task so the whole nation can be happy.”
Coach Otto Addo is expected to announce his squad for Ghana’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers this week.
