Ghanaian striker Maxwell Abbey Quaye signs with Alqalah Club

Ghanaian striker Maxwell Abbey Quaye has secured a two-year deal with Saudi Arabia’s Second Division side Alqalah Club.
The 27-year-old forward joined the club on a free transfer after his contract with Al Tehami expired.

Quaye said: “I’m delighted to sign for @alqalah_club. It’s an honour to join, and I can’t wait to don the violet shirt and get started.

The former Great Olympics attacker will be seeking to revive his career after a challenging spell at Al Tehami.
This move marks Quaye’s fourth club since departing Great Olympics in 2022. He has previously played for Duhok FC and Al Sinaa in Iraq.
During his time with Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League, Quaye scored 24 goals in 61 appearances.

His impressive form earned him a call-up to Ghana’s national team, and he was part of the squad that participated in the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Quaye’s experience and goal-scoring prowess will undoubtedly bolster Alqalah Club’s attack as they seek to climb the ranks in Saudi Arabia’s Second Division.
The club will be hoping that Quaye’s addition will provide the spark needed to propel them to promotion.
