Reports indicate that Brann paid €1 million to acquire the highly-rated defender from the Moldova side.
Boakye played a crucial role for Sheriff last season, making 34 appearances across all competitions as the club excelled domestically and competed in Europe, which earned him a spot in the league’s Team of the Season.
Known for his composure, aerial ability, and consistent defense, the Ghana U20 international quickly became one of Sheriff’s most dependable players.
He has carried that form into the current campaign, featuring in six UEFA Europa League and Conference League qualifiers, as well as eight league matches in Moldova.
Brann acted quickly to sign him, seeing Boakye as a player with significant potential who can further develop in the more competitive Norwegian league.
He has previously featured for Berekum City in Ghana.
