Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of defender Ali Mohammed in the ongoing transfer window.

The defender signed a two-year deal with the Phobians after passing a mandatory medical examination.

He joins the Phobians on a free transfer after successful negotiations.

Ali Mohammed, who rose to prominence with Vision FC in the Division One League, is considered one of the most promising young defenders in the domestic game.

His composure, aerial strength, and ability to play from the back have attracted interest from several clubs.

Mohammed, who has previously featured for AshantiGold, Tamale City, Accra Lions, and Vision FC, is being lined up as a key reinforcement for the club’s backline ahead of the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League campaign.

He becomes the third signing of the club following the arrival of Baba Adama and Prince Owusu Kwabena.

The player is expected to train with his teammates this afternoon as the club intensifies preseason at the Pobiman Sports Complex
