Bekui is expected to bring a wealth of experience and firepower to Hohoe United’s frontline.
Hohoe United have struggled in front of goal this season, managing just 13 goals in 14 matches.
The ‘Womee Boys’ currently sit 11th on the league table with 17 points after 14 games, and the arrival of Bekui is seen as a timely boost to their attacking department.
Confirming the signing, the club announced the deal on its official Facebook page, highlighting the forward’s extensive career abroad. The statement read:
“The prolific striker has, over the past nine years, featured for ACSM Poli Iași (Romania), AC Kajaani (Finland), Extremadura (Spain), Al-Rawdah, Al-Entesar and Al-Sahel (Saudi Arabia), Dhofar Club (Oman), and Dreams FC.”
It’s with great excitement that we welcome a true son of ‘Gbi Nyigbe’ back home to Hohoe.”
Bekui’s move marks his return to the Ghana Premier League for the first time since leaving Dreams FC in 2016.
During his spell with the Dawu-based side, he scored seven goals in 12 appearances before securing a move abroad, most notably to Oman.
Hohoe United will be hoping the seasoned forward can rediscover his scoring touch and help turn their season around.
