Cunha Wolves transfer future

Matheus Cunha has opened up on his future, insisting that he desires to move on from Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) this summer to ‘fight for titles.’

Cunha signed for Wolves in January 2023 on a loan deal from Atletico Madrid before his contract became permanent a season after.

Since making his move to England, Cunha has netted 31 goals for his team in 85 appearances, leading the attack at the marksman of his side.

Speaking to the Guardian when asked about a possible departure from Wolves this summer, Cunha revealed that the odds of him staying at Wolves remain thin.

“I’ve made it clear that I need to take the next step. I’m hungry for titles. I want to fight for titles”, he said.

This season in the English Premier League, Wolves sit in 17th place on the standings, and although they look like they will be staying in England’s top flight, keeping their marksman looks like an impossible task.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly reached out to the Brazilian, who is keen on taking the ‘next step’ in his career and is sure to join a bigger club.
