Iniesta aims to return as a professional coach in football
“I’d like to become a coach one day”- Andres Iniesta reveals future plans

Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has revealed he would like to coach at the professional level in the near future after his retirement from football as a player last year.
Iniesta spent the majority of his career at Barca and is widely regarded one of the greatest footballers in history after winning four UEFA Champions League titles as well as nine La Ligas and six Copa del Reys.
He also won the Spanish Super Cup seven times as well as the FIFA Club World Cup on three occasions.
Now, it appears he is aiming to tread a similar path to that of former teammate Xavi Hernandez who spent three years as a coach of the Blaugrana between 2021 and 2024.
Iniesta’s intelligence is one the world certainly does not doubt, but as to whether he has what it takes to handle the pressure and dynamics that comes with being a coach is the tough call to make.
Speaking about his future after actively playing football for two decades, Iniesta said: I would like to become a coach one day. There is still time, and I am still in the early stages”, he told El Pais.
Some Barcelona fans are already glad about Iniesta’s intriguing revelation and are calling for him to be ready should Hansi Flick decide to part ways with the club in the next few years.
It would be great for all of football to see Andres Iniesta return to the game, as he is recognized as an icon the sport in the 21st century.
