Inter Milan head coach, Simone Inzaghi has urged his team to welcome the challenge of navigating a hectic fixture list and take pride in their success on all fronts this season.
The Nerazzurri face Feyenoord in the Champions League round of 16 second leg on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, leading 2-0 after goals from Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez in the first leg.
Inzaghi’s team are also top of the Serie A table following their 3-2 win over Monza on Saturday and are in the Coppa Italia semi-finals, where they face rivals AC Milan.
With a congested fixture list ahead, Inzaghi believes his team must see this as an opportunity to showcase their strength and resilience.
“The schedule should not be a problem but an incentive. We have to be proud of what we’re doing; these guys find the energy,” Inzaghi mentioned.
Inter have been impressive in the Champions League, winning each of their last five home games without conceding a goal.
However, the team has struggled with injuries in recent weeks, with midfielder Piotr Zielinski ruled out for up to two months with a muscle injury.
Inzaghi may also rest leading scorer Martinez and defender Stefan de Vrij against Feyenoord in preparation for the clash with Atalanta.
Despite the challenges ahead, Inzaghi is confident in his team’s ability to adapt and thrive.
“I will rotate according to the physical state of the players. We have some fatigue to evaluate. Lautaro and De Vrij have not been out training with us today, but I have a good feeling (about them),” he added.

With goalkeeper Yann Sommer set to return from injury, Inter will be looking to secure their place in the Champions League quarterfinals with a win over Feyenoord.
