Italian giants, Juventus, are planning a summer rebuild with Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali at the top of the wanted list, and are willing to offer Douglas Luiz and Dusan Vlahovic as a sweetener to the deal.

Juventus are eager to lure Sandro Tonali back to Serie A, and emerged as a priority target for Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Old Ladies of Italian Football have a good relationship with Newcastle after the two clubs did business recently with Lloyd Kelly, and they hope to leverage that to snatch Tonali.

The former AC Milan player has remained an important figure in the season for Newcastle after returning to action following a lengthy ban for betting offences.

Sandro Tonali signed with Newcastle United from AC Milan for a reported fee of around €70m (approximately £60m), making him the most expensive Italian player in history.

The 24-year-old Italy international has developed a great relationship with Bruno Guimaraes in midfield and helped the club lift its first silverware in 70 years by winning the Carabao Cup against Liverpool.

Dusan Vlahovic is another player being discussed by Juventus as part of the deal to Newcastle, particularly if Alexander Isak departs the club this summer.

The Sweden Striker, who has scored 50 goals in 77 Premier League appearances with 8 assists for Newcastle, is believed to be wanted by a host of suitors after a convincing campaign with Eddie Howe’s side.

Newcastle will be hoping to keep hold of their top stars in the summer, but that would be much easier if Champions League football is secured for next season.
