Lamine gives Barca a similar feeling to Messi- Pedri

FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri Gonzalez says having ‘Lamine at Barca is similar to Messi’ after Yamal’s consistent run of performances this campaign.

The 17-year-old already tops the assists chart in La Liga (11) with six goals scored in 27 appearances this season.

Lamine Yamal is regarded one of the most important creators for Barcelona in attack with the likes of Pedri and Raphinha. Although Lamine has revealed that he idolizes Neymar Jr, many have compared the teenager’s style to Barca legend Lionel Messi, and Pedri has made it clear that he’s one of them.

Speaking to El Pais ahead of Barca’s trip to Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, Barca’s marksman explained what Lamine means to the Blaugrana, likening him to the great Lionel Messi.

” When Lamine gets the ball, you know he is going to complete the first dribble easily, and that something can happen. It is similar to the feeling we had when we had Messi in our squad”, he said.

Barca take on Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday in their last-8 first-leg clash away from home, aiming for a favorable result with Yamal and Gonzalez in their fold.
