The deal is expected to be a six-year contract, which is seen as a more crucial move for Barcelona director Deco and president Joan Laporta, as reported by Fabrizio.
The young talent played a crucial role in Hansi Flick’s treble-winning campaign in the 2024/25 season, scoring 18 goals and recording 25 assists in 55 appearances in all competitions.
Yamal, 17, is expected to sign a new contract with a salary worth €8m per year, which is a big leap from his current €1.67m.

The new contract will position the La Masia gem as the club’s third-highest earner behind Lewandowski(€33.3m) and Frankie de Jong(€37.5m)
The Blaugrana were expected to tie down the highly talented winger to a long-term contract as he approaches his 18th birthday, with paperwork reportedly prepared for the “next Lionel Messi” for the Spanish giants.

Yamal’s contract with Barcelona is reportedly set to expire in 2026, and the La Liga winners were poised to bring that debate to a close, with the Spain international ready to sign a lucrative senior contract.
In mid-May, club president Laporta heaped praise on the youngster – calling him “a genius” and also lauded his limitless potential as “one of the best in the world” – even at age 17.
It is only a matter of time until the official announcement of the deal; all documents are reportedly ready, with Deco and Laporta confident that another homegrown star will follow Messi’s footsteps by shutting down any interest from elsewhere.
