Quansah joined Liverpool’s academy at the age of five before rising through the ranks and making 58 senior appearances, scoring three goals. He is a Premier League and Carabao Cup winner with the Reds.
He was handed his debut for the club at senior level by Jurgen Klopp in the come-from-behind victory at Newcastle United in August 2023.

The England U-21 international went on to rack up 33 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool as they finished third and won the Carabao Cup – beating Chelsea 1-0 in the final.

Last season, Quansah struggled for playing time at Liverpool, making just four Premier League starts under Arne Slot, who preferred Ibrahima Konate as Virgil van Dijk’s centre-back partner.

The Englishman frequently featured in the cup competitions, where he made nine starts, including featuring at right-back in the League Cup final defeat to Newcastle United.
Jarell Quansah previously disclosed that he believes he is in the right place “to take the next step”.
“It’s definitely developing,” said the defender. “I’m not getting too high or too low with anything.
“I think I can take massive learnings from the three seasons I’ve had in professional football. From Bristol Rovers (where he spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan) until now, to put perspective and look back I’m in a very good position to take the next step.
“It comes with working hard and staying focused on what I can control.
“As for the future, it’ll put me in the best stead if I just keep my head down and keep working.”
