Liverpool winger Luis Diaz opens up on future plans amid Barcelona links

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has opened up on his future amid Barcelona links, sparking a renewed interest in the Colombian.
The La Liga champions were left disappointed after failing to sign Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, who extended his contract with the Basque club until 2035, despite earlier reports suggesting Barcelona had secured a seven-year deal with the player.
Shortly after Nico Williams’ contract extension was officially confirmed, reports surfaced linking Barcelona with Luis DÃaz, a long-term target admired by sporting director Deco.

The Colombian forward is now seen as a priority for Barcelona, now considered plan A for this summer.
DÃaz, 28, has two years remaining on his Liverpool contract, and his representatives are reportedly open to negotiating a potential transfer with the English club this summer.
Speaking about the constant speculation surrounding his future, DÃaz chose to be diplomatic.
“It’s not known yet, we’re talking with the board. We’re comfortable with where I am, and we’ll have to see,” he told Colombian television station WinSports.
Alongside Luis DÃaz, the Spanish giants are closely tracking Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, who could represent an ideal and more cost-effective signing.

The English international is reportedly poised for a move to La Liga and is said to be prepared to lower his salary expectations to ease a potential transfer to Camp Nou.
Meanwhile, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are closely monitoring DÃaz’s situation and are poised to pursue the Liverpool winger as they seek a replacement for Leroy Sané.
They possess the financial power and sporting ambition to persuade Luis DÃaz to move to Munich should he choose to depart Merseyside.
Barcelona’s interest in DÃaz is genuine, but financial limitations and competition from Bayern could complicate securing a deal for the Colombian.
