Major update on Kobbie Mainoo’s Man United contract revealed

Mainoo has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Chelsea

Kobbie Mainoo remains dedicated to Manchester United and is open to signing a new contract to stay in head coach Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans, despite increasing speculation linking him to Europe’s elite clubs, according to GIVEMESPORT.

The 19-year-old has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Premier League rivals Chelsea.

While these clubs could offer Champions League football next season, Mainoo’s priority remains staying at Old Trafford – provided terms can be agreed.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a new contract offer, though the specifics of his salary are still a key point of negotiation.

Previous reports have suggested a potential 80% pay rise to £180,000-a-week, but this is considered unrealistic as the club aims to restructure their wage bill.

Instead, Manchester United are expected to offer a deal exceeding £100,000-a-week, though it is expected to be more in line with the recent contract handed to Amad Diallo.

Despite the interest from other clubs, Manchester United are not currently considering selling Mainoo, who is valued at £70million.

The situation is expected to change only if negotiations break down entirely.

However, there is no indication that talks are heading in that direction, with both parties seemingly committed to reaching an agreement. The club is keen to avoid a protracted contract dispute.

Mainoo’s focus will be on returning to action, but his future will continue to be a subject of discussion until a resolution over his next contract is reached.
