Esso, a proven goal scorer, becomes the latest addition to ‘The Jangs’ attacking arsenal ahead of the 2025–26 Malaysian Super League campaign.
He also has significant experience, having played in the Ghana Premier League for clubs including Dreams FC and Ebusua Dwarfs.
The attacker also played for the Algerian giants MC Alger, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 66 appearances across all competitions.
He enjoyed a standout 2024–25 season, netting 11 goals in 32 matches for Dreams—a form that caught the attention of Negeri Sembilan’s scouting team.
A former Ghana international, Esso was instrumental in Ghana’s impressive run at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations, where he scored a crucial goal in the final against Senegal, helping the Black Stars B side finish as runners-up.

Renowned for his agility, sharp instincts inside the box, and tireless work rate, Esso is expected to add depth, versatility, and a killer instinct to Nidzam Jamil’s frontline.
He will join a vibrant attack that already features Malaysian star Luqman Hakim, Selvan Anbualagan, Japanese talents Takumi Sasaki and Mio Tsuneyasu, and Serbian winger Jovan Motika.
Esso’s arrival is expected to inject quality and experience into Negeri Sembilan’s attack as they aim to mount a more serious challenge this season.
Negeri Sembilan FC finished 12th in the Malaysian Super League last season and will be hoping to avoid another relegation battle in the upcoming campaign.
Esso has already begun training with his new teammates as they prepare for the 2025–26 season.
Negeri Sembilan FC will open their campaign away against Johor Darul Ta’zim in the league opener next month.
