Manchester United have been linked with a shock move for ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale following a poor display from both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.

The Red Devils are reported to be exploring the possibilities of acquiring the services of the Arsenal loanee at Southampton amid Ruben Amorim’s goalkeeper struggles.

Ramsdale is set to leave The Saints in the summer after a disappointing campaign back in the Premier League.

Andre Onana was left out of Man United squad for the Newcastle clash after the former Inter Milan goalkeeper made two howlers in their 2-2 draw against Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie in France.

Turkish deputy Altay Bayindir made his Premier League debut at St. James’ Park on Sunday, but his maiden game turned out to be a disaster as the Red Devils went downhis 4-1.

Manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly looking to bolster his goalkeeper position, and The Sun reports that the club have been linked with a move for Southampton and ex-Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale.

The English international is likely to leave the Saints in the summer, following their relegation from the top flight division in the 2024/25 campaign.

Reports have cited that the 26-year-old could head to Man United; however, will face competition from West Ham as Graham Potter makes Ramsdale a priority signing.

Reports from Fabrizio Romano on Monday also hint that several Saudi Pro League clubs have shown interest in signing Onana in the summer transfer window, as the Red Devils still contemplate the player’s future.

Ramsdale has made 26 appearances for Southampton and has two clean sheets in those appearances in the entire 2024/25 season.
